At B.I.G. British International School we follow the English National Curriculum to offer an innovative child-centred education. We inspire our children to discover their unique gifts, talents and passion for learning while striving towards their academic and personal life goals.

With a hands-on approach our students are challenged to learn and grow in a safe and stimulating environment. Our broad and balanced curriculum immerses our students in our natural spaces and is enriched with forward-thinking technology.

Outdoor Education

Outdoor education is an integral part of learning at B.I.G. British International School. All areas of the curriculum benefit from active lessons in our outdoor spaces, as well as fostering our students’ love of the natural world. On our spacious campus, children are surrounded by the green and learn about – and how to take care of – our lovely farm animals.

Learning Spaces

Purposefully designed classrooms with direct outdoor access are just one of
many learning spaces we have on campus. We benefit from adaptive shared
spaces, dedicated labs, an immersive classroom, a salt room, a lights atelier and a large indoor gym. Our external facilities include two outdoor classrooms, a theatre area, an equestrian arena and sports fields for football and basketball and padel. Our student-run educational farm homes a range of ponies, goats, pigs, rabbits, turtles and even our very own highland cow.

Day and Field Trips

Day and field trips are a fundamental part of our educational offer and are always linked to our curriculum’s expectations and goals. From interactive museums to live performances and explorations of the wild, we offer our students a wide range of experiences and activities off campus, depending on their age and class, to help them develop lifelong precious skills.
